Extremely unpopular opinion time, just needed to send this to anyone really: I hate Gina. I don't understand how people can ship Dianetti, since Gina has been far from perfectly nice to Rosa all the time, and vice versa. She's thoughtless and crazy, cruel to her friends and coworkers. She could at least try being moved to Amy, if just for the fact that she's dating Jake who she's known forever, but hasn't. And when the 99 was in danger of being shut down, she wasted the day feeding cement to
(cont.) people. Honestly, she’s the one character I could do without in the show. And I’m even including Hitchcock and Scully, because they at least sometimes show some integrity and kindness to their coworkers. I’m sure a lot, lot, lot of people will disagree with me on this, but Gina just isn’t very good. A good character, yes. She’s very well written, and is often funny. I just don’t like her for being so mean to people she considers friends, especially since they’d do anything for her.
Look, I totally understand what you’re saying. Although, I really like Gina and I think she is a fundamental part of the show. These past episodes it has been hard to continue liking her, I was pretty upset about her being unnecessarily mean to Amy, bc honestly I love Amy with all my heart and would die for her. I get that Gina is mean to everyone, it’s her personality and usually she does that in a funny way. Sometimes it can be uncomfortable to watch and I get it too. About Dianetti, I really think they match and would be an awesome couple, but for now I’m happy that Gina got a boyfriend and is pregnant because I think they are really cute. I’m not gonna lie, I like pimento, I just don’t like him near Rosa. So I just hope that next season they break up and Rosa can date a woman because that’s what she deserves. AND about the cement prank, I think they only did that so the plot twist (the precinct being saved by Ginazon) could be more unexpected and exciting. I was waiting until the season finale to answer these asks because we had some proofs that Gina cares very much about the squad last night, like when she told Rosa and Holt that she loved them, and when she automatically turned to Amy to comfort her about the verdict. That made me so happy. Also, next season she’s going to be a mom, and I think that it will give her oportunity to grow more.
